Shocks Galore

Conspiracy Theory?
About 10 Tottenham players including Dawson, Carrick, Keane vomited in the dressing room before the 2-1 loss which ended their Champions League dream. Investigations are on against the London hotel where the players had dined before the match.

A Dejected Jol after Defeat

Deception Point
Wigan defender Pascal Chimbonda handed in a transfer request on his way off the pitch after Sunday's defeat by Arsenal. This is a show of ridiculous level of disrespect to the manager Paul Jewell and to the Wigan supporters, who had supported him thoroughout their remarkable season. Pascal had signed an extended 4-year contract in January and the Wigan chairman has reiterated that he wouldn't sell him for less than 6 million pounds.

Utter Lack of Loyalty

Ruud Exit
Ruud Van Nistelrooy is going the Beckham way. Nope, he is not getting his head shaved. Instead, he is gonna be sold this summer after the latest bust-up with Sir Alex. He had left the OT ground when Fergie decided to play Rossi up front with Saha in the crucial encounter with Charlton. Latest speculation is that Ruud may be involved in a swap deal with Athletico Madrid's striker Fernando Torres (plus 14 million pounds!).

A Sheva Shock
Ukraine suffered a jolt to their debut World Cup plans as their inspirational captain and striker Shevchenko injured his knee ligament in AC Milan's league match against Parma. Fortunately, Sheva should be back in training in 25 days' time.

Marriott is Spurs' usual hotel. Usually things even out. For Spurs it came at a cruel time. Thats the difference. They were very unfortunate against Chelsea and United. Other than those, they had shades of luck in patches. But especially towards the last two games, they were jittery. Any other team other than Bolton would have finished them off with the amount of chances Bolton had.

For a team which had knocked itself out in the first round of Carling and FA cup, their sole target was 4th in premiership. Instead of taking things till the last day, they should have grabbed the 4th spot much before. That was the mistake they did. Arsenal, particularly Henry never let his spirits down and showed what a true professional he is. Some awful ref decisions were lost in the nostalgic moments. Never else will Henry be made to feel so special. Emirates or Camp Nou. A month's time'll tell the tale.

I am sorry if i sound biased but Sprs wud v struggled in Europe. Its only fair that they play in the UEFA Cup.And if u think that ther was something wrong with the food, i feel that Sheringham s penalty was equally dubious. It was one of the worst penalties i v ever seen.

Benayoun btw is my fav player in West Ham..;)

it's good to see am not the only person who likes Benayoun....he's been a great player for them this season...but he hasn't found much mention in the tabloids.

I agree that Spurs would be better off in the UEFA Cup...but it's still a cruel blow on the last day and particularly the circumstances too were against them. Henry was amazing and it would be a fitting tribute to a great time at Highbury if he were to leave at the end of the season.

Benayoun reminds me of Czech duo of Rosicky and Nedved 9whatever little I've seen Rosicky play in particular). He has good vision and also scores goals with good moves. Has Pardew also found the knack of spotting bright talents other than English men?

Irrespective of who the manager has been over the years, Wham has always been one of the clubs from where lots of talented footballers emerged.
