Great pictures there...
Well, it's certainly no coincidence to see two Anglo-Spanish European finals. This proves that the quality of teams of both countries are really up to standard.
Way to go, England and Spain!
What about an 'All Anglo-Spanish Affair' in the upcoming World Cup?
Especially if it would happen in the knockout stages.....
I agree with amir.
An "All Anglo-Spanish Affair" is certainly something we football fans look out for.
However, that is highly unlikely, as through my best predictions, they would only be meeting each other at the semis. I don't see either of the teams able to make it that far.
Especially after Wayne Rooney's injury...
It would be an interesting clash since many Spanish players are now playing in the EPL. I agree with Soccerguy...I doubt if either teams will reach the semis.
Brazil vs Spain in Quarters. England vs Spain has happened two years ago when Del Horno's goal defeated England. Would like some weird combinations coming up in the knock round, like
Spain vs Argentina
Portugal vs Italy
Czech vs England
Netherlands vs Germany(used to be intense in '70s, but its been a long time)
England is still a strong force inspite of Roon's injury. with the likes of Owen, Lampard, Gerrard, Cole and Beckham ...with Terry, Rio, Ashley and Neville at the back, they look strong enough to fight for glory.
Spain is perennial underachievers…but very much talented.
Spain Vs England is theoretically possible..
