Why Such Losers?

Makelele unleashed a verbal riposte at Ferguson, claiming Jose Mourinho stands head and shoulders above his older counterpart and that the West Londoners are also on a higher footing than their northern equivalents. This is what he said...
''It took Ferguson seven years to win the league, it took Mourinho eight months.''

I cannot understand why the normally sensible Makelele made such a comment. Perhaps, he din't realize what everyone knows...Chelsea would have finished first even if David O'Leary had been manager...Chelsea just have bought their way to their 2nd title thanks to Roman Abramovich's funds.

Agreed Jose achieved a lot with Porto but then let him manage a team like Villa and make them champions in 7 years. Then I'll accept Jose is as good a manager as Fergie.

Maka Mentally Ill?

Btw, I have lost all respect for Liverpool. Have a detailed look here at what theKop fans have done at Old Trafford after their win over Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Not Funny at all!

As a Man U fan, I don't really know what or how to say about the incident after Liverpool's win.

It was really bad for Liverpool fan to vandalise the walls and toilets of Old Trafford. And of all things, they've written the darkest moments in Man U's history. That comment alone is an understatement, because I really run out of suitable words to describe them. If I had to, I'm afraid explicit words might have to be used.

I hope, as a loyal 'Red Devil', I have to speak up for my fellow mates, and not let things like this pull us down. I really hope football is not about life and death, but about the tradition of "The Beautiful Game". Such things definetely should not happen, regardless of whatever setbacks that may occur.

Let's have SPORTSMANSHIP!

First read this...http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=381591&m=4&y=2006&nav=news&sub=latest+news...Makelele refutes the report.
One more thing, money cant buy everything - everyone knows this. to be a champion, you need to be a champion. Jose made teams like Porto European Champs...not an easy task mind you.

Like everyone, I too appreciate the work done by Jose at Porto...but without money, can he take a team like Villa or Boro to the top of EPL? EPL is miles ahead of the Portugal league.

I don't want to make comparisons but I am forced to make one here...Jose inherited a good team and with further additions to the squad by weaning away other clubs' targets with the lure of money, he has built a formidable team...that's y he gives excellent results.

I will be really glad if he takes over Portugal and wins them the World Cup. Then, we can say he is a master.

@Soccerguy
Appreciate ur comments and completely agree with you. To poke fun at a great tragedy of a fellow club is not befitting for a club like Liverpool. It's a pity that sportsmanship is missing in the beautiful game.

Lets not cry abt Sportsmanship now.Its sad that The liverpool fans did this but MAnu are no better. Most of the teams lack sportsmanship and thats the way it is.U v made ur point and its well taken.

If Makelele said what was reported then its a load of crap. AS much as i hate him,SAF s credentials are beyond doubt and he is a super manager.
