Cech it out!

Highs
ManU putting up a terrific second half performance to come back from behind to beat Wigan 3-1 at the JJB stadium. If the introduction of Giggs at half-time was the catalyst, Rooney showed why he is still the best by having an inspired second half.

Ronaldinho is back to form as Barca beat high-flying Sevilla 3-1 at the Nou Camp. Ronnie's brace and Messi's great strike takes Barca to top of the table, 3 points ahead of Valencia who lost at Celta.

Lows
Chelsea keeper Peter Cech injured his skull in a clash with Reading's Hunt. He has had surgery and is out until the end of the year. His deputy Cudicini too was injured towards the end of the game and Chelsea finished with John Terry between the goalposts!

Real Madrid suffered their first defeat in Spain this season as they were beaten 1-0 away by Getafe. Real played one of its worst games under Capello and they were lucky to escape with that scoreline. And, Ronaldo got sent off in his first game after a long injury layoff.

West Ham, Newcastle continued their losing streak, against Portsmouth and Bolton respectively. Alan Pardew and Glenn Roeder's days at the helm might just be numbered.

Hey

I didn't watch the ManU game myself, but every report claims that Giggs' introduction was the catalyst for a great performance. Just reading that makes me smile.

At different points during last year, I thought that he had started fading and would soon be out of reckoning. So, the start of this season was a pleasant surprise. The injury made me fear for the future. Agreed, that it is too early to judge. But, a start has been made and hope that performances galore in the coming months. We need it!

Anyway, I too am a ManU fan and am quite jealous that you managed to get to the Theatre of Dreams :) Continue the good work...

Hi...always good to come across a ManU fan :)
I too thought Giggs and Scholes were finished articles a year back, but then they proved me wrong. Giggs, especially, has been one of the best players since the start of the year. Hopefully we can see more good performances from these guys.

I was a bit disappointed not to watch Rooney in action but then I did have a great experience at the Theatre of Dreams :)
Cheers!

Good luck against Liverpool! I don't think you have too much to worry about.
