Yes...Milan thrashed a tired and exhausted ManU. Remember, ManU did beat them at OT! ManU has been an excellent team this season - playing consistent, entertaining, attacking, and free-flow football. The loss to AC was one-off. See where AC is languishing in Serie A. Can any other team lay claim to being the best this season in terms of playing great football in every competition?

A team that does not win their domestic title can never claim to being best in Europe. EPL has become much more competitive than most leagues and tournaments. ManU more than deserves the tag of being the best this season.

Btw, Inter did a double against AC in Serie A...does this mean Inter is the best in Europe? C'mon, don't judge a team by one match...look at it over the whole season. I can't look at any other contender even matching ManU's achievement this season.

Can't agree more with what you have said, Lucas. In terms of consistency we are the best in the English league, perhaps the best in Europe at least for this season.

Indeed, we were thrashed at San Siro. However, we were exhausted by playing 3 games per week, whereas Milan got to rotate their players.

I don't want to sparkle off any unnecessary arguments with fans from other teams, but I proudly say that Manchester United is the best team in Europe, this season. No?

Dude get your facts right. Milan started with negative points and look where they find themselves now. They are still fourth. Jaded and tired is never an excuse. You are expected to play 50 odd matches a season. Look at what Lampard and Essien etc. did against Arsenal. Lampard was in his 60th for the season and yet they were going box to box.

The one and only criteria for judging who is the best team in Europe is the UCL. Simple! Thats the way it has always been.And thats why the UCL is there. .. to find out who is the best in Europe.

If i had thought that Inter was the best team as they did the double over Milan, then I would have said that Arsenal are the best as they did the double over Manu.

I am not arguing either. I just feel that the claims of Manu being the best team in Europe is way off mark....thats my take on it.

@Itinerant
Exactly...U can't say Arsenal are the best team since they did a double over ManU....same reason, u can't say AC are the best just because they beat ManU in one game. Add 8 points to Milan and they are still only 3rd in Serie A.

Going by your argument, if being in the CL final is the criteria for calling a team the best, then Liverpool has to be one of the best...no way is Liverpool the best....no logic there.

But it's good to see a lot of neutrals naming ManU as the best team this season in Europe in various websites such as Guardian, Times, BBC, and so on.

@Jihao...Welcome!

ManU Rules!
