why did edu get nominated?he s been out with injury all season for the che and he was awesome for arsenal.Also zidane,raul,carlos?
I know abt ur contempt for real,being a barca fan but this is unfair dude.:)
how abt oleguer for worst defender?
i followed Real throughout last season, wondering always how Zidane could play so pathetic...he was a great player, no doubt, but he kept losing possession and dint seem to do well. Carlos is one bad defender but good attacker and though the only Real player I like is Raul, even a hardcore Real fan would say Real's decline was because he had stopped scoring goals. Abt Edu, being an Arsenal player and injured too, he kept talking abt leaving the club. Did not make much impact last season. And again this season too, he is injured! I dont understand how a sane coach would ever pick him for the Brazil squad.
I agree with u...Oleguer was bad but Barca still had the best 'goals against' last season. I don't know why Barca rates him highly...he was the reason they lost to Chelsea last season and he has to do a lot better this season to avoid the same fate.
Edu was outstanding for arsenal before he got injured.And he left mainly because of the confidence of the manager in cesc,flamini and also no1 knew then that paddy wud leave.His performances against celta vigo in the ucl 2 seasobns back and agnst ur team in the f a cup qf,amongst other, were brilliant.I am not surprised at all that he is in the brazil squad..he s quality.When emerson can make it, edu certainly can.
Raul s slump in form is mailny because of the fact that most of last season,he played outta position.He wud play as a left midfielder or behind owen and ronaldo.Isnt it the same with scholes?he is used to playing in the hole (Second sriker), and now he cant do it with rooney in the team and hence the lack of goals.
And if these awards(:)) are for last season then u have to put van nistelrooy in it.He hardly did anything the whole of last season.
